About me!
Hello All,
This personal web-page aims to archive a portion of my research and teaching works mainly on the field of structural mechanics. I included a very brief introduction to finite element method -which you can find a vast information about in various sources, but i tried to simplify here for no-background beginners-, and a set of presentations on my work mostly on;
- finite element analyses of some special issues in structural mechanics e.g. plasticity, buckling, fracture, damage mechanics, fatigue, contact problems
- manipulation of finite element analyses using external scripts for optimization, reliability evaluation or parametric studies
- visualization and interpretation of analysis results
Though the theoretical base introduced in this web-page is unarguably not enough to solve this kind of highly nonlinear and complex problems; may give a fundamental sense to the readers of this blog. I tried to prepare know-how tutorials for each problem using ANSYS Mechanical for structural mechanic simulations using implicit time integration scheme, LS-DYNA for explicit time integration, MATLAB and Python scripts and libraries to manipulate and visualize analysis results. Following these tutorials may require essential knowledge on theory and interface of each software, as well as a valid (academic or commercial) licence for use.
During my studies (still?), beside thick textbooks and software manuals, I've also made use of YouTube channels and blogs like this one; so now I think that kind of blog may help future researchers, engineers, students or just simply people who are interested in structural mechanics to progress faster than I did.
